I don't know what more to say at this point. I'm glad it's finally done and I can move on from this project. The final picture I post is of the chandelier I waited so long to be installed. It's not even the original chandelier I ordered but I'm happier with this one anyway.
All that's left to restore the home is hanging some pictures. My focus turns to planning my getaway from Atlanta, something seriously needed after this long process.

Remodel - What the hell week is it?
I'd like to report all is complete but somehow I can't. It's a sore topic of conversation so I'll just throw up some more pictures.

Remodel - Week 14.2
Just a couple pictures to see what the furniture looks like in the remodeled space. Keep in mind that these pictures wouldn't have been possible before because there was a wall in the way.

Remodel - Week 14
It took more than a little patience and a lot of frenzied work over the last 2 days but the remodel finally reached a point where we use and move back into the kitchen / living room.
There is still some work to be done, mainly some touchup paint and a couple lighting issues related to broken pendant and a back ordered chandelier but we have begun the long task of reclaiming our home. Crimson and I spent the weekend moving furniture and repopulating the kitchen. It's amazing just how long this process takes.
Before we did this I took a bunch of pictures. My original plan was to create side by sides with the original pre-work photos but technical difficulties and the amount of time involved prevented that. Instead I present you with a large collection of the final look. Hopefully within a week I'll have ones with the furniture installed too. Unfortunately, it is in a rough state again as they do some more paint.
The pendant in the foreground is not working but should be fixed soon.
Ignore the ugly bare bulb. Apparently the chandelier is on backorder so this is my wonderful temporary light.
A good look at the cabinet layout and hardware. I have a ton of storage now.
My touch faucet. For a few moments I thought this might be a mistake but I find myself using it ALL the time. Anytime my hands are wet, I simply use my forearm to turn it on an off. At first it was a little touchy and only Crimson the master with it. After an adjustment it works perfect.
I was concerned about the loss of above counter storage and a place to put the microwave. This was the solution to both. Plus, I was able to keep most my original pantry by rotating it.
The new bathroom. No more hideous wallpaper!
The are a lot of fancy pullouts in the cabinets including this pantry storage.
Two tiered silverware drawer.
Pull out trash and baking sheet drawers
The hood still needs a little finishing around the top but it is finally level.
I'll be glad when it is truly all complete. It's still a little weird having to clean the workspace everyday so they can continue working.
I have to say the pictures really don't do things justice. It looks great. Now that the hardwoods are exposed and the furniture in the room, all the "folksy gold" trim has been toned down enough so it all looks really good.

Remodel - Week 13
It appears we are entering the final phase. I've been given word the kitchen will be available for use this coming Friday. I still have my doubts and I know there is still some final touchup work to go. They are bringing in an army to work tomorrow and Friday with the final finish on the floors happening late tomorrow.
Finally the trim work around the tops of the cabinets is complete.
New wire shelving in the new pantry location. There will be a ridiculous amount of storage.
Quarter round molding get installed all around.
The new microwave in its final resting spot. It'll look cleaner in final pictures.
The next you are likely to see are the final, full reveal, shots. This may take awhile as I'm going to be focused on cleaning my house from top to bottom, inside and out as soon as the work is done. This sort of job makes a mess all over the house, even the sealed off areas. By about December, I should be able to enjoy it. :)

Remodel - Week 12.2
As promised, appliances went in today although the hood vent isn't finished and the microwave didn't get started.
First up is my Thermadore Masterpiece 30" oven.
Zephyr Milano-G Hood - It isn't quite finished so a better picture will have to wait. Flash made the color of the column look a bit weird.
I had to share a picture of the plumbing under the sink. That's a pretty crazy setup but damn tidy.
Finally, they started installing cabinet hardware.
I believe they come in tomorrow to finish the electrical. I've been told it will be ALL done by Sept 19th. I'm not holding my breath. There are a lot of little details still to be addressed.

Remodel - Week 12
That's right, I'm approaching the 3 month of what was supposed to be a 6-8 week job. I'm so sick and tired of it. However, there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel and I have the pictures to prove it.
The last few days have been a lot of plumbing and electrical. Not all of it is exciting to see but it is definitely a sign the project is coming to a close.
First up is the new sink and faucet. Still some work to do on that window trim and those outlets will be gray/brushed nickel before it is all done.
The corner gets a raised countertop with enough seating for two. The butcherblock will stained and polyeurathaned soon.
More appliances sitting in the garage awaiting install tomorrow. For the money I spent, they should be shipped in golden boxes.
I've been told I should actually be able to use the kitchen tomorrow but since the floors aren't done, I really can't move much back in there so it'll likely be a few more days. I'll keep you posted.

Their biggest miscalculation (short of who they hired to do the original plumbing) came in where to locate the hoot for the cooktop vent. It's be correct now. Obviously drywall to come.
The bathroom is almost done now. A new toilet, light, sink faucet. Just need a mirror and a few accessories to get it done.
The dishwasher (one of two appliances I won't be changing right now) made its way back into the kitchen. I shouldn't have to wash my
