Remodel - Week 11

In some ways this was a very big day; in others is was just another day in the seemingly endless process. Today the countertop arrived and was installed. They didn't get here until 2 and were done before 5 so I didn't get to see or hear any of the process.

I walked in to find it completely covered to protect it but there was no way I wasn't going to look at it and snap some pictures. However, since I really had no good place to put the covers, you'll have to see it in pieces. All will be revealed in time.

First is the outside wall and end facing the living room area.

As you can see, the under mount sink, minus the faucet was also installed.

 

Next island (really more of a peninsula) where the cooktop and stove will reside

Finally, the bathroom. It's a bit of a challenge to get a good looking picture in this small space and I'll reserve my tripod and fancier lighting for final photo-shoot.



Next up is supposed to be backsplash but there is some trim work to finish up too. I'd love to see them do both at the same time, but it doesn't happen that way often lately.
