Remodel - Week 11.2

It's a good thing everything went right at the house today because everything else went terribly wrong for the last 24 hours.

Today the backsplash went in

 

For the longest time I've wanted to replace the patio doors. They were terribly insecure, a nasty source of drafts in the "winter" and the wooden trim was chewed on by the former owners' dogs. Also, I'm so glad this door is out of my garage where it was blocking access to my tools.

The new door also provides a sneak peek of the hardware the will be coming into the area. Everything will be brushed nickel. With all the doors I have entering these two rooms, it turns out I was replacing a LOT of hardware. $500+ of knobs, locks and hinges.
